General Information:

Wenshu Monastery, also known as "Konglin Hall," is located at No. 66, Wenshu Yuan Street, Qingyang District, Chengdu, Sichuan Province. Covering an area of over 200,000 square meters, the monastery was originally built during the Sui Dynasty (605–617 AD). In 1697, during the reign of Emperor Kangxi of the Qing Dynasty, it was reconstructed through public fundraising and renamed Wenshu Monastery. It is the most well-preserved Buddhist temple in Chengdu, featuring a south-facing layout and traditional architectural styles of the Western Sichuan Plain, primarily constructed with wood.
