The primary blooming period for azaleas on Cangshan Mountain is between May and July each year. Specifically, the blooming time varies depending on the geographical location:

• Ximatan Scenic Area: Located at the intersection of Yuju Peak and Longquan Peak on Cangshan Mountain, with an altitude of 3,960 meters, this area is an excellent spot for viewing azaleas. The yellow azaleas typically bloom from mid to late May, while the white azaleas bloom in early June.

• Western Slope of Cangshan Mountain: With an altitude ranging from 2,400 to 3,900 meters, the large tree azaleas here bloom successively from March to May, creating a stunning sea of flowers.

• Summit of Cangshan Mountain: Around June, the alpine azaleas also bloom in full glory, displaying a variety of colors, including fiery red, blood-like crimson, white, and creamy yellow.
