After breakfast you will visit Mount Emei.
One of the few World Heritage Sites that is both a cultural and natural
heritage. It is one of the four most famous Buddhist mountains in China
and home to 5,000 species of plants and more than 2,300 species of
wildlife.
You will first arrive at Lei Dong Ping
(2400 meters above sea level), you will walk along the stone steps for
about 30 minutes to reach the cable car station and you will have the
chance to see wild monkeys along the way.
Then take a cable car (about 5 minutes) to reach the Golden Peak (3,077 meters), which is the biggest highlight and essence of Mount
Emei. It can be called the largest and highest place of worship of
Chinese Buddhism in the world.
On a clear day, you may even be able
to see the snow-capped Mount Gongga (7,556 meters above sea level) and
Asia's largest table mountain-Mount Wawu. If the weather permits, you
will also be fortunate enough to enjoy the magnificent spectacle of the
Sea of Clouds.
After about 1.5 hours of sightseeing at the Golden Peak, you will return to the
tour center. Then your car is ready to transfer you to Chengdu (about
2.5~3 hours).
