4+ stars Hotel
After enjoying breakfast in the morning, you will head to the Longmen Grottoes Scenic Area. Widely recognized as the most outstanding among China’s four major grottoes, the Longmen Grottoes house the largest and finest collection of Chinese art from the late Northern Wei to the Tang Dynasty (316–907 AD). Alongside the Mogao Caves in Dunhuang and the Yungang Grottoes in Datong, Longmen is considered one of the three greatest grotto complexes in China.
After the visit, you will travel to the famous Shaolin Temple in Dengfeng City in the afternoon. Known as the birthplace of Chinese Zen Buddhism and Shaolin Kung Fu, the temple is often referred to as "the Number One Temple under Heaven." The Indian monk Bodhidharma meditated here for nine years, laying the foundation for Chinese Zen Buddhism, and turning Shaolin Temple into its ancestral home. Here, you can also take part in a paid kung fu lesson with real Shaolin warrior monks.
After the tour, you will be transferred to the train station or airport according to your schedule, concluding your pleasant journey.
